Postnatal exercise for mums and babies at Chantry Play Morpeth

This class is for mums and babies with a focus on you the mother and your recovery after pregnancy and birth.

These friendly and relaxed sessions will help to heal your body from the inside out. We work together to strengthen your pelvic floor, core and shoulders with simple breathing techniques, gentle movement and body weight exercises.

We also look at your lifestyle as lack of sleep, anxiety and stress are key factors for postnatal recovery of the whole system including healing of the pelvic floor and your central nervous system. We use yoga to address these additional factors supporting your holistic recovery including your pelvic floor, over all functional movement and most importantly your mental wellbeing. 

This class is perfect for those of you who are looking for a gentle return to exercise. Or mamas that are experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction like leaking, prolapse or heaviness of the pelvic floor.

You maybe 6 weeks, 6 months or even a year into your postnatal journey. You are always welcome to attend alone or bring babies along. Groups are kept small so that I can work closely with each of you to ensure that we work with your body to help you to heal.
